11.04.2009 Delegation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria visited the plant GrAZ
On the 9th of April delegation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria invited by the Trade House Spetstechnika GrAZ paid an official visit to the plant of GrAZ.
In February of 2009 GrAZ representatives negotiated with the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the Russian Federation. After the meeting of the two parties, the Ambassador wanted to see the manufacturing process with his own eyes in order to recommend cooperation with the plant to Nigerian producers because in his opinion GrAZ production was very needed at the Nigerian market.
On the 9th of April delegation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria invited by the Trade House Spetstechnika GrAZ paid an official visit to the plant of GrAZ.
The delegation consisted of the following persons: major general Timothy Mai Shelpidi - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the Russian Federation, Onesimus Atanze – Minister of Trade, Economic and Investment in the Russian Federation and Joseph Gargadi – Assistant Secretary for information and culture.
During the visit they were introduced to the management of the plant of GrAZ, saw the manufacturing process of tanks and production technique of GrAZ. Test drive of TZA-10 on chassis KAMAZ-43118 was organized for the participants. Prospects for cooperation were discussed during two short conferences.
Then the delegation representatives paid an official visit to the Governor and Administration of Penza Region.
The representatives of the delegation expressed their high opinion of GrAZ and its production. The innovative technologies department and department producing tankers and equipment for the servicing with the fuels and lubricants equipped with high-technology devices produced the best impression.
So, the Trade House received an official note from the Embassy stating that Nigerian companies were interested in cooperation and the meeting with their representatives had been already planned to be carried out at the beginning of the summer of 2009.
